For us, one of the nicest things about this area is the feeling of space. It is a good place to slow down, look across the hills and simply enjoy being outside.

ဗျိုက်တောင် သဲကျင်း is quite different from the usual green mountain viewpoints around Kalaw.
The rocky landscape gives the area a more dramatic atmosphere and makes it especially interesting for photography. The wider Byike Taung area is already well known locally, and the sand-pit area is also identified separately on Google Maps.
It is one of those places that shows another side of the Kalaw landscape — rougher, more unusual and very different from the quiet streets and pine-covered hills around town.
